Share A new series of videos from the new Dr. Dre album, “A Day In The Life,” is giving moms the opportunity to show their support for the rapper’s cause.
The series is titled “The Dr. Drake Show” and the goal of the video is to share Dr. D.E.R.’s love for the Black community, specifically Black mothers, who are battling addiction to opioid painkillers.
The Dr Dre-produced music video for “Aday In The Lifestyle” features Dr. Erika, the star of “Lucky 7” and “Ladies Man,” and a black woman who is in recovery after being hospitalized for months after a fatal overdose.
The two women are seen singing together and talking about their families, their struggles, and Dr. Dee’s struggles.
The video was shot in the U.S. and is being produced by The Dr Dre Group, a record label owned by Dr. Dray, Dre and Dray Meets World co-founders Dr. Rhymefest and Dr.’s DJ Premier.
The music video is the first installment in the series, which is a collaboration with Dr. Derrick Bell and Dr Dre’s producer, The Dr. Nick.
The project also includes a photo shoot with Dr Dee, Dr. Bell and a Black man who is battling substance abuse and addiction in the same hospital where she is battling opioid addiction.
